Otra - Farsund 8-1

The first home match of the autumn was played against Farsund who had the pleasure of the long drive to Evje in torrential rain. Otra fielded a strong team with a couple of additions from last weeks victory over Trauma. The game started well with a nicely finished Knut Skjevrak goal. Farsund were on the back foot and straight away went defensive with a 4 man back line. This meant chances dried up and the game swung from end to end. We made better use of the ball on a wet pitch and hit them on the counter with a couple of classy goals from the speedy Kei Blut Kinny. The halftime score was 3 - 1.

Both teams were struggling to control the ball in the pouring rain. At halftime we decided to concentrate on basics, good first touch, control the ball and simple passes. It paid off as we dominated the second half with goals from ex centre forward Mathias Homdal, wing man Andreas Bakke and two from the hard working defensive strongman ThaKla Htoo.

   

There was a good debut game for Vetle Bråthe Lund who looked sharp in defence. Well done also to Thomas Myrvold Fredheim for some good clearance kicks and for staying warm in the downpour. Well played to all of you with a solid 8 - 1 victory over Farsund.
